EM Students Shine at FCCLA State Leadership Conference
Eight Elmwood Murdock students attended FCCLA State Leadership Conference April 7-9. The chapter and members earned recognition and several members qualified for National Leadership Conference in Seattle June 29-July 3.

The chapter was recognized with a Silver Chapter Award. Michael Hynes earned first place on the Personal Finance Test. Harrison Koehn earned a Membership Award and was recognized for A Day In Your Future. Six students earned recognition for Power of One which qualifies them to attend National Leadership Conference: Quinn Ross, Kaia Sacco-Rhode, Hannah Petersen, Michael Hynes, Harrison Koehn and Charles Cawley.

Six students competed in STAR projects, earning medals and five students qualified for National Leadership Conference:
Quinn Ross – Nutrition and Wellness Level 1, gold medal and state runner up
Charles Cawley – Promote and Publicize FCCLA Level 2, silver medal and state runner up
Hannah Petersen, Morgan Gray and Michael Hynes – Sustainability Challenge Level 3, gold medal and state runner up
Harrison Koehn – Teach and Train Level 3, silver medal
