 Murdock 4th of July

It is pretty amazing how the population of Murdock grows during the 4th of July parade. Family, friends, and alumni return to their hometown so their kids can experience and make the same memories. My daughter was no exception. I thoroughly enjoyed watching my grandkids catching parade candy.

Summer Kids Sunday School takes a little bit different direction. Each week includes a craft that relates to one of the readings. Last Sunday Ms Stephanie taught now Jesus carries the weight of our worries in a yoke.

When your worries are heavy. Give them to Jesus who will carry them. Brian, a previous student was recruited to help with this lesson. I think the weight program in school helped him hold up both buckets of bricks. He was a trooper.

The kids then to their classrooms and made their own yokes and used marshmallows instead.
