PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Elementary School in Elmwood: Renovated and expanded kitchen to allow for food to be cooked at the elementary school; replacement of existing playground and surfacing (not including the preschool playground). Junior/Senior High School in Murdock: Purchase of land; 8-lane track, new career and technical education classroom and workspace; new competition gym and supporting spaces.

Murdock Historical Museum
This week I'm highlighting some history of the Trinity Murdock Lutheran Church. There is a chapel in the museum with pews, stained glass, and historical information of the local churches.
Make sure to stop by the museum and check out the amazing displays and the wealth of Nebraska history.

The Stitch-in-Time Quilt Show at the Bess Streeter Aldrich House
The Gee's Bend Quilters of Alabama
At 1:30 on October 14th at the Elmwood Learning Center, come learn about eh quilts of Gee's Bend, which are among the most important African-American visual and cultural contributions to the history of art within the United States.
Following Mickie Clements' program, we will travel to the Bess Streeter Aldrich House for a quilt show where 110 beautiful quilts are on display.
Admission is $5
Come check them out and the other 110 fabric quilts are on display.

Please come and pick up what you need for your household or a friend’s.
