The new playground is a reality!! The ribbon-cutting will be on July 4th. Right now there are flags because a fence and gate will be going up to protect the little ones from running into the street.

Playground Build

Thanks to a generous donation by the Murdock Historical Society, the Village of Murdock will be able to build a playground located on Main Street, just across from the old fire hall.
Thanks to all of our generous private sponsors that have made this dream a reality.

We plan to have an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 4th!
If you are still interested in donating, please also reach out to Kristi.
Again, thank you all so much- we are very close to having a playground back in Murdock.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, helped, and reached out so far to help Murdock build a playground!

These are no ordinary photos, but COLOR photographs. In the 1950s this was almost unheard of then. It was cutting-edge "technology". Thank you to Ramona Oehlerking for the video/images.

I don't know who this lovely lady is but she knows the secret to fresh-smelling sheets and pillowcases. Can anyone identify her?

It's hot and breezy and I don't know about anyone else, but I took the opportunity to wash all the blankets, sheets, throw rugs, and comforters. They dry in no time and laundry is SO much faster. Our grandparents used renewable energy such as solar and wind a LOT more than we do today.

We hung clothes out to dry, used windmills to pump water to cattle tanks in the middle of the pasture, and didn't rely on air conditioning.
