SAVE THE DATE-- JUNE 10TH & 11TH, 2022.
Thanks to a generous donation by the Murdock Historical Society, the Village of Murdock will be able to build a playground located on Main Street, just across from the old fire hall.
Thanks to all of our generous private sponsors that have made this dream a reality this coming Spring! If you are handy and can help build on Friday, June 10th or June 11th, please reach out to Kristi McHugh at
We plan to have an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 4th!
If you are still interested in donating, please also reach out to Kristi.
Again, thank you all so much- we are very close to having a playground back in Murdock.

These are no ordinary photos, but COLOR photographs. In the 1950s this was almost unheard of then. It was cutting-edge "technology". Thank you to Ramona Oehlerking for the video/images.
Remember, reader-submitted photos like this are a reason why the newsletter is interesting. You can send your Murdock photos of events, friends, and family to
Easter was cold this year but it didn't discourage the kids from running and collecting Easter Eggs. The church youth group filled and hid eggs for the kids to collect between the two services on Sunday.
The youth also combined their musical efforts for an Easter orchestra. Students ranged in age from 5th to 10th grade.

Cattlemen's Ball Comes to Cass County
Don’t miss out on being part of one of the biggest events to take place in Cass County!
The Cattlemen’s Ball of Nebraska, a charity whose mission is to raise money for cancer research through an annual fundraiser, is taking place at the Cass County Fairgrounds in Weeping Water, Neb., on Friday, June 3, and Saturday, June 4. The Ball is a completely volunteer-run event, and we need YOUR help to make it a success!
As a volunteer, you'll join us in our goal of raising $2 million for cancer research at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center in Omaha, Neb. From the Art Tent to the General Store, and from wine tastings to the set-up crew, we have a volunteer opportunity right for you! Or, if you're unsure of where you'd best fit, we'll place you in a volunteer role based on need.
And don't fret - we want you to enjoy the event - so we're only asking for a few hours of your time!
Head on over to https://cattlemensball.com/volunteers to learn more and to register to volunteer! We cannot wait to see you there!
Come on over and take a spin on our dance floor
or just sit back and enjoy the music!
