EDITOR VACATION

From September 5th -14th I will be out of town on vacation.

If you would like something added to the newsletters for the next two weeks please email them to me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by this Friday and I will schedule the weekly news in advance.

I didn't realize until today I have not missed a weekly edition in over four years and it will seem strange to do so now. There may be an issue missing if I do not receive updates.

Glimpse into Murdock History

Continuing with our new series to the weekly news.

These are no ordinary photos, but COLOR photographs. In the 1950s this was almost unheard of then. It was cutting-edge "technology". Thank you to Ramona Oehlerking for the video/images.

Many people have commented to me that Pastor Heim probably wasn't responsible for all these photos. Seems Ed Niemeyer (from the previous photo series) also took photos during this era. The photos were given to Maxine Cline.

It's kinda a late night to be feeding chickens but August doesn't seem to mind. I wonder what he's holding in his hand. Does anyone know August and his last name?

August Ruge

Every week I am getting emails at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. from people who are enjoying the photos. Thank you for reading and sharing with others. It's nice to know I'm not just "talking to the wind."

Remember, reader-submitted photos like this are a reason why the newsletter is interesting. You can send your Murdock photos of events, friends, and family to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

As a mark of respect for the U.S. service members and other victims killed in the terrorist attack on August 26, 2021, in Kabul, Afghanistan, by the authority vested in me as President of the United States by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, I hereby order that the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions until sunset, August 30, 2021.
