Glimpse into Murdock History
Continuing with our new series to the weekly news.
During the 1950s Pastor Heim would document his home visits with parishioners by taking a photo. These are no ordinary photos, but COLOR photographs. In the 1950s this was almost unheard of then. It was cutting edge "technology". Thank you to Ramona Oehlerking for the video/images.
This is Reuben Stock and I am guessing his two boys, but I can't remember their names. I'm sure one is Jim, but I don't know which one. Looks like it was taken in the milking parlor. What do you think? Please email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
From what I heard from the response is that Grant is the one in the middle laughing, but I don't have his parents names.
It was suggested the couple must be his parents. They lived where Chuck Zierotts now live. If anyone knows any different just let me know.
Remember, reader-submitted photos like this are a reason why the newsletter is interesting. You can send your Murdock photos of events, friends, and family to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
We offer two divine services: 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
The 10:30 divine service is live-streamed every Sunday via Robin Kuhlman's Facebook Page.
We still practice social distancing in the divine services. Because there is plenty of room at each service there is no need to receive a seating assignment from Pastor Kuhlman.
