It is STILL Christmas in Cass County
There are still opportunities to enjoy the Christmas Season and make spirits bright. The Lofte Theatre is graciously put their Christmas program online. Check it out below.Lofte Family and Friends
Our Christmas presentation “Making Spirits Bright” is now online! Please go to our home page at lofte.org and click the button that says “View Making Spirits Bright Online” to watch this heartwarming production. Note that the show will be available to watch from today December 22nd through January 22nd. Watching is 100% free, and you may watch as many times as you like. We appreciate your understanding as we've been working hard to bring you this show, one way or another, and hope that you enjoy it!
About the show: We all feel the modern strains of the holiday season, shopping, decorating, and food preparations. Follow one couple through a Christmas season that helps them bring back the spirit of what the holiday is about. Through magic, love, and humor, and a mysterious "Neighbor", Nick and Helen rediscover the joys of the holiday. "Making Spirits Bright," is authored by one of our very own born-in-a-barn players, Kathryn Cover!
Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!
Sunday Divine Services (with social distancing)
1. We offer two divine services: 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
2. The 10:30 divine service is live-streamed every Sunday via Robin Kuhlman's Facebook Page.
3. We still practice social distancing in the divine services. Because there is plenty of room at each service there is no need to receive a seating assignment from Pastor Kuhlman. When you arrive, please sit in the designated pews and practice social distancing. Thanks.
Blessings,
Pastor Kuhlman

Starting with this Christmas message 2021 will have an excerpt from each week's sermon. Here is hoping it resonates with you in your life. If it does, please feel free to visit Trinity Murdock on Sunday.
Sermon excerpt from Sunday, December 27, 2020
Wherever Jesus is, there is controversy. Sad! After all, Jesus announces God’s pardon, peace, and forgiveness. Instead, He drew hostility and anger. I see this all the time as a pastor. I’m no longer shocked. I’m just deeply and immensely saddened. What do I mean?
Well, many will come to church only if it makes them feel good about themselves. They come only to seek approval for their turned-in-on-themselves lifestyle choices and other selfish choices that they make. So they look to the pastor and the congregation to approve of their sin and boost their self-esteem. They demand uplifting, inspirational sermons. They want the church to be an escape. Like an adrenaline rush. Like a drug that gives an immediate high. They want a judgment-free zone. I’m Ok. You’re OK. Live and let live. The last thing they want to be told is that they are sinners. They will not tolerate hearing that their choices and actions are not God-pleasing. They refuse to deal with their sin and death. Why? It doesn’t feel good. The death of the old Adam hurts. So they quit coming.

Glimpse into Murdock History
Continuing with our new series to the weekly news.
During the 1950s Pastor Heim would document his home visits with parishioners by taking a photo. These are no ordinary photos, but COLOR photographs. In the 1950s this was almost unheard of then. It was cutting edge "technology". Thank you to Ramona Oehlerking for the video/images.
Merry Christmas from a blast from the past. There were no notes on this photo so does anyone know this lovely couple?
