It was Lions Club Peach delivery lat week. Peaches ordered in July were picked up by anxiously awaiting residents. Seriously I heard many times,...when are the peaches arriving at church and around town.

The number sold were up this year as more and more people have found their obsession with Palisade peaches has increased. Next week I'll even highlight my peach pie recipe in case you put some frozen peaches in the freezer.

murdock lions club peaches 3 My car was even loaded for me. Stop by the Elmwood Farmers market for some fresh peach jam. It's delicious on muffins, biscuits, and sandwiches.

Banner murdock historical museum Who remembers the hardware store in Murdock. This was before my time. Does anyone know the name and history? When it opened, when it closed and other details or stories.

When is the museum open?

Saturday afternoons during the summer and the first Sunday afternoon of the month. Take the kids, there is so much to see and learn.

Where is it?

Across from the bank, the white building on the corner.

Every week I will have a photo from the museum, did you know we had an active railroad going through town, a general store, a barber and much more?

School is back in session and our school system is a big part of our community.

I know it's hard for me to stay in touch with the school activities since all our kids are out of school. EMVolleyball

Many Friday nights I sat in the bleachers, ate nachos and hot chocolate as I watched the football team and listened to the band. Some of my favorite memories were going to the Winter concert and enjoying the choir and band. Now I don't have to miss the date.

Elmwood Farmers Market & Junk in the Trunk

People are LOOKING for Sweet Corn!!

Do you have sweet corn? Bring it to the Elmwood park Saturday morning to the Farmers market.

Is your garden producing an overabundance of sweet corn, cucumbers, zucchini, tomatoes or anything else?

Do you like baking cinnamon rolls, cookies, or making crafts?

Do you have honey, eggs, or even make jelly, wine or seasoning dip mixes or soup mixes?

Bring them to the Elmwood Farmers market on Saturday mornings.

You don't need anything fancy. Heck, you don't even need a table. Just bring a chair to sit.

We have regulars who show up every week. People are asking for tomatoes, sweet corn, and other produce
