Last Saturday morning, downtown Murdock was buzzing with the deliveries to the two dumpsters parked at the old fire barn on the main street. Thank-you to the Murdock Town Board for organizing this clean-up event.
It was financially supported by Round-the-Bend Steakhouse, Corn Growers State Bank and M.I.T. (Murdock Improvement Team).
Major helpers were Jackie, Kristi, Nate, Wyatt, and Jake. Others assisted anyone who needed help when they came to dump off their junk and there was plenty of that. Much appreciation to all involved in the improvement of our community. Let’s keep up the good work!
The picture shows Nate, Wyatt, and Kristi waiting for arrivals.
The first Elmwood-Murdock football game is in the books for the year. Although we didn't win our first it was against a team that went to the Playoffs last year in the 8 man division. The crowds were full and it was a Friday Night Lights football game in Rural Nebraska.

A place you go to support your local school, eat some BBQ, socialize with friends and spend a fun fall evening.
Thanks, as always to the Elmwood Rescue squad for being there every week to support players and attendees who may need medical assistance.

Quonset Bar and Grill
Elmwood NE
Darin Platts wife Lauren has been battling illness for a long time now. Several months ago she was FINALLY diagnosed with Chronic Lyme Disease after years of hospital stays, treatments, specialists, and emergency room visits.

Currently, shes lost half of her vision and use a walker. She has almost lost her life once already resulting in a lengthy hospital stay. They are aiming to send her to the Hansa Center in Wichita, KS for alternative treatment. The only problem is that the 3 wk program is very expensive and with all of the other medical bills, medication, and trips out state for Lyme literate doctors, they are unable to send her at this time.
As a mother of a young son and wife to a husband, she fights for her life every day for her family.
There will be a free will donation for pulled pork sandwiches, beans and a bag of chips. Also, a silent auction will also take place with karaoke following. If your able to make it all proceeds will go directly to Darin and Lauren to help out with all of the medical expenses they will incur through this tough time. Let's all show our support for a great friend and family.
