Trinity Lutheran Church 125th Anniversary Celebration and Service
The members of Trinity Lutheran Church, friends, family and community members celebrated the churches 125th Anniversary on Sunday to overflowing crowds. Not only was the church full but so was the fellowship hall which watched the service on a live feed on the screen.

Several students and Mike Hansen from Murdock performed in the church orchestra for the festive divine service and the joint choir from Eagle Immanuel and Trinity Murdock sang the Psalmody and during Communion service.

Lunch was served after church services and people filed in for over an hour to enjoy good food and fellowship.

Historical photos and the new church directory was created for all the members and a new member directory wall was presented along with plaques containing the founding members and Past Pastors of Trinity Lutheran Church.

More photos of the celebration will be posted next week. To God, we give Thanks for all the blessings we have. Thank you to everyone who attended and celebrated with us.

Elmwood-Murdock Football - Coaches Comments
The Lincoln Lutheran Warriors defeated the Elmwood-Murdock Knights 28 - 3 in a C-2 District II contest Friday night at Nebraska Wesleyan University.
The game was suspended at the end of the 3rd quarter due to lightning and heavy rain. Although everyone wanted to finish the game it was the right call for the safety of the players and fans. We put together some nice drives in the 1st half and were able to convert on some key 3rd and 4th down plays.
We were unable to finish the drives. Lincoln Lutheran has very good team speed and stopped us when they had to. Lutheran has a very explosive offense and our goal was to establish ball control and keep the ball away from them. We played fairly well until an error in the kicking game set up their second TD.
I thought our team played hard throughout the contest against a Top Ten team. The Knights have played four state-ranked teams in the last 6 games. The Knights host HTRS and take on the Titans in a Homecoming contest Friday night in Elmwood. Game time is 7:00 p.m.

‘Boeing Boeing’ Ready for Take Off at the Lofte Theatre!
Manley, NE [October 2, 2017] - The Lofte Community Theatre announces the opening of its Fall farce, Marc Camoletti’s fast-paced comedy, ‘Boeing Boeing!’ The production opens Saturday, October 14 on the Lofte’s main stage.
Set in the bustling1960s, Bernard is a swinging bachelor who has the world on a string: a flat in Paris and three gorgeous stewardesses whom are all engaged to him at the same time without knowing about each other. However, Bernard’s life encounters turbulence when his friend Robert comes for a visit and a new speedier Boeing jet throws off his carefully planned itinerary. Catastrophe looms when all three stewardesses come into town simultaneously and friend Robert keeps forgetting what helpful lies he’s told to whom!
Starring in the show as the troubled Bernard is Doug Rothgeb of Omaha. His best friend Robert is played by Robert Carrera of Bellevue. The bevy of beautiful stewardesses are played by Aubree Sweeney of Plattsmouth, Brenna Thompson of Lincoln and Abigail Fletcher of Omaha. Fan favorite Melinda Mead of Plattsmouth plays the bad-tempered housekeeper, Berthe.
