Happy Spring!! Yes, the April Showers bring May flowers. How many of you planted your vegetable or flower garden this weekend? I did! Guess what is starting? BASEBALL!! Yup, the light have been on and the first games have been played.
The Murdock concession stand has a reputation of having the BEST food in Cass County so when you see the traffic and see the lights head over for some food. Oh, and watch the kids play some ball at the same time.
There is nothing like sitting and watching youth ball games during the summer. I will have a schedule up soon, but there is a game almost every night, especially on the weekends.

Thank you to Stephanie Stroy for providing the photo.
The warm weather is a sign of summer days, baseball, softball, Memorial Day, garage sales, 4-H County Fair preparations and 4th of July celebrations. Yes, summer is busy in Murdock.

Let’s Get Ready for Spring!
The Spirit Squad annual plant sale has become a yearly tradition. It is always the first Friday and Saturday of May and is extremely popular. This year was no exception.

It was a busy Friday and Saturday as the Spirit Squad greeted people from the community who were anxious to get their gardens started. If you waited until Saturday you may not have gotten what you wanted.

The Elmwood-Murdock TeamMates
The Elmwood-Murdock TeamMates chapter is looking for volunteers to be on our board. As a board, we meet four times a year to oversee the organization and make decisions on maintaining the program.
Specifically, we are looking for someone to take on the role of our organization's treasurer. The job requires attending board meetings, sending in treasurer reports, keeping track of our funds and writing checks if necessary. There will be training for this position to help you learn the role.
If you are interested in joining our organization and don't feel like you have the time to be a mentor, joining the board is a great way to get involved.
If interested, contact JoDee Paulsen at Elmwood-Murdock Public Schools
