Murdock Nebraska News
Happy February!! One month down in winter and that means the likelihood of any more snow or ice gets less and less each day.

Congratulations to the Elmwood-Murdock Public Schools for being recognized by the Nebraska Department of Education as one of only 8 school districts out of the over 240 districts in the state to receive the highest ranking (4) for academic achievement. (Via Shelly Nowak)
So proud of our school!
More news about this recognition will follow next week.

Farmer's Consignment Auction
The Trinity Lutheran Church annual consignment auction was last Saturday and it was a chilly, but good day for a sale.
Proceeds go to mission outreach and local organizations. Last year thousands of dollars were donated to fire and rescue organizations who service our local area.

Several people didn't come to purchase a John Deere tractor or round baler, but to sit inside and socialize with a piece of pie. The parking lot to Round the Bend was full and trucks parked in the fields.
So if you drove by and wondered what was happening, now you know. The Trinity Lutheran Church Annual Farmers Consignment sale always occurs on the last Saturday of January. Put it on your calendar for next year.

Hi everyone! Now that the weather has turned colder, the museum sees a drop in visitors.
However, we still have utilities to pay through the cold winter months. Constant temperature and humidity helps to preserve the items in the museum.
