Local 4-H Club Celebrates Bake And Take Days
Members of the Cass County Creative Cats baked dozens of homemade treats and put them on decorative trays to deliver to anyone they knew who could use a cookie pick-me-up. This was part of the 4-H Bake and Take Days community service project, and it's the eighth year that the Cass County Creative Cats club members have participated in the event. Many of the trays were delivered locally to people in the Elmwood and Murdock area, but one tray made it all the way to an elderly lady in Omaha. She was so touched, she called the Cass County 4-H Office to thank them. She said that it's been a long time since someone has done such a kind thing for her. This project shows how a little thing can make a really big difference!
The Cass County Creative Cats has 40 local members. The group meets monthly at the Elmwood Christian Church. For more information on the club, contact
