Elmwood-Murdock Baseball/Softball would like to thank the community for their support for this year's pancake feed. Due to the snow, only the truly adventurous came out and we appreciate your extra efforts to support local ball teams. A big thank you to the those helped get things set up for this event especially the Murdock Fire Department and Loren and Tammy Lockman and EVERYONE else for coming out to it. Thank you to the coaches, parents and players came and helped wipe tables, cook sausage and pancakes etc. that made the event go smoothly. We truly are blessed to live in this community full of helpful people.

Easter Egg Hunt was A Hit With the Kids!

What is this you ask? These were some of the prizes at the Elmwood Murdock Merchants Association/FBLA Easter Egg Hunt in the park Saturday. While it seemed like a good idea at the time he ordered them Mr. Shrader was having second thoughts when he saw the looks on the parents' faces. Bubbles and Whistles? Obviously Mr. Shrader doesn't have children at home anymore but he does have grandbabies and someday...we will get even.

There he is...Mr. Shrader is telling the kids and parents where the kids should line up. Little did the parents know at this time what was waiting for them at the end of the hunt!

Jennifer Hromanik, helped line the kids up and got them pointed in the right direction.

These kids were anxious to get started.

This is the line of kids after about half of them have gone through. The kids find the Easter eggs in the park and then turn them in for prizes.

The Easter Bunny, Brandon Luetchens, was very accommodating and passed out candy to the kids and posed for pictures. I asked him if these were pictures that were going to haunt him at his 20th class reunion and he thought they would probably be haunting him by that night.

So what's new at the Elmwood Public Library? A lot! The remodeling is done and it is open for business! E-books are available to all library members and if you aren't a resident of Elmwood you can still join for a small, paltry fee. Stop in and check out the Elmwood Library!
