Fundraiser for the Down Syndrome
Association Foundation by the Willeys
Angie Willey organized the fundraiser that raised $210 last weekend. She had many of her crafts and jewelry for sale along with the ABC Books and Signing Times videos, books, and CDs. The Cass County Creative Cats 4-H club brought snacks and entertained the kids.

Angie makes jewlery and crochets items, too. She is amazing!
Angie is also a distributor for ABC Books.
Angie is certified with Signing Times to teach sign language to babies, parents, and others who are interested.
Angie read a story to the kids and signed at the same time. Abraham was her book holder.
While I was shopping at the Signing Times table Ben came to help me. He is quite the salesman. He pointed out his favorite cd and told me I should have it. So I bought it!
The Cass County Creative Cats 4-H club provided snacks and kept the kids occupied for the event. Great kids!

Gather Boutique was open last weekend and I stopped in. Jen's been busy! She painted these chairs with the milk paint that she sells. Can't wait to try it. Jen said it is very easy. Her store is full of fun things to decorate with. I bought a really cool fan!

Handicap Parking at High School
It has come to our attention that in the morning several parents park in the handicap parking when dropping off or picking up students. We would ask that you refrain from using these spots as we have students and patrons who are permit holders that have had to wait or park in other locations and were unable to the use the handicap parking. Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.
Speaking as a mother of one who needs one of these parking spaces I really appreciate it if there is one there for him in the morning. Speaking as a mother who sometimes needs to drop off or run in for a minute I understand how handy it is to just pull into one of these spaces. I never park there unless I'm dropping Joe off or picking him up though...just in case someone might need it. To be honest though when you are in a pubic restrpom and the only stall that's open is a handicapped stall you would use it, wouldn't you? Me, too. Same rules just don't apply in the restroom. They probably should but they don't.
Wall of Remembrance Exhibit at the High School
This week Monday, March 11- Friday, March 15 the Elmwood-Murdock Public Schools will be hosting the "Wall of Remembrance." The wall is a 40 foot long memorial of photos and other memorabilia of those from Nebraska who died in military service while fighting the "War of Terror." This is a moving tribute to those 80 Nebraskans who have made the ultimate sacrifice serving our nation in the "War of Terror" since September 11, 2001.
The "Wall of Remembrance" is open to the public from 9:00-3:00 daily. Thursday's hours will be 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
