School News
The Murdock Schools were closed Thursday and Friday, the teachers being in attendance at the teachers' meeting held at Fremont.
Martha Gakemeier was absent Monday on account of the death of her grandfather.
Vera Eisenhut was absent Monday afternoon.
Margaret Pool was a passenger for Alvo, Nebr., on No. 17, Wednesday evening.
The Ninth Grade took their final examination in Agriculture Wednesday morning. A fine time was not reported.
Ida Gehrts spent a part of the vacation with Erma Schliefert.
The main occupation of the boys, now-a-days, is flying kites.
Catherine Pool will represent our high school in the declamatory contest at Fremont on March 26th.
The high school girls have started to practise the play, which will be given in the near future.
Miss Lola Stewart, our intermediate teacher, visited Lincoln friends Saturday.
The Eighth Grade pupils enjoyed the preliminart examination Thursday and Friday of last week. The other grades of that room were excused the two days.
Henry Wendt is excused from school each day at half past two on account of the rust in farm work.
