The new banners supplied by the Elmwood Murdock Merchants Association
looked festive and promising. But Mother Nature had other plans. The rain on
the 4th of July led to many of the activities being canceled. The Dillon Synovec
Memorial Run was still held with a good turnout but the parade was canceled due
to the rain.
This banner was also supplied by the EMMA. It is on Highway 1 by Murdock.
These dedicated parade goers tried to participate in the parade but the rain kept them from doing it.
Carae Oehlerking, Brook Glasshoff, and Niki Baumgart tried to keep dry while they waited for a decision.
This is not what Main Street should look like on the 4th of July in Murdock.
People were still lining up for lunch!
Due to the bad weather the bake sale sponsored by the Son-Shine Child Care Center was held at
CD's Express on Monday. Tucker and Carae Oehlerking manned the booth.
