A Community Easter Sunrise Service will be held on April 4 at 7:30 a.m. at the Marvin and Ramona Oehlerking farm at 34206 Highway 1. Following the Sunrise Service a continental breakfast will be served at the Murdock United Methodist Church. If it is muddy or rainy this Sunrise Service will be held at the Murdock United Methodist Church.

Knightly News from Mr. Friedrich, EM Elementary School Principal
SUMMER KNIGHTS
In previous years we have offered a summer childcare program, called Summer Knights at the school. We have not offered this program for the last two years due to building construction. At this time we are not planning to offer the program this summer. However, I would like to survey parents to see if there is a need and/or interest in this program to continue. I have had two people contact me stating that they would like to see the program continued. I have heard through other sources that more people may be interested. A survey has been sent home or is available in the office that will give us some more information regarding our decision whether to offer this program or not. This survey needs to be returned by April 9, 2010. We will need a commitment from at least 15 to 20 students to even consider offering the program again. A final decision regarding this program will be made by April 12, 2010.
BALL FIELD CLEAN-UP
The Baseball/Softball Clean-up Day for the Elmwood and Murdock ball fields scheduled for March 27 has been postponed, due to weather, to Saturday, April 10, beginning @ 9:00 a.m.
SCIENCE FAIR NEWS
We had hoped that some of our students could have entered their science fair projects at the SAC Museum Science Fair this year. However, it was held during our TerraNova Testing during the school week. Hopefully next year we will be able to get some of our students involved in this science fair also.
JUNIOR VET CAMP
Does your child love animals? Kids completing grades 2-4 will spend the week learning about animals and their care at Junior Vet Camp sponsored by Oxbow Animal Health. Session 2: Elmwood-Murdock High School, June 7-10, 2010 from 8:30-1:00pm.

SPRING CARNIVAL
We are again doing theme baskets for each classroom for Silent Auction. K-Cookie Lovers, 1st -Family Games/Books 2nd – Birthday 3rd-Gardening 4th – Summer Fun/Barbeque, 5th – Coffee, 6th – Family Snow Day. The Spring Carnival is scheduled for April 16, 2010.
The SOS would like to remind parents that many items are still needed for the silent auction baskets for the spring carnival. Please drop off your items at the school office as soon as possible.
